Diocesan Leadership Course
We are offering our Diocesan Leadership Course again specifically for wardens and ordained people who have not had the opportunity for this learning that all vicars/PIC/lay leaders in charge have had.
This course is based on the functions of a team and well-known discipling principles. It works through published content, teaching you how to foster healthy team culture in a discipling setting. The whole course is embedded in a deep Godly process of reflection and hearing what the spirit is leading us to do about what we have learnt. By the end of the course, people will know and put into practice the discipling leadership principles that are the DNA of the Diocese.
It will run weekly (via zoom) on Thursdays from 12 noon till 1:30 pm, starting May 8th, and finishing mid to late November (with breaks each school holidays).
What people have said about the previous course (a group including both clergy and lay people):
“I recommend this course for anyone who faces leadership challenges.”
“Anyone in a church leadership role will benefit from participating in this course. This course works through the real-life challenges of church life, addressing the common areas we find ourselves getting ‘stuck’, and offering useful tools to help your team move forward through difficult seasons.”
“An incredible opportunity to take a deep dive into learning leadership tools that have the potential to be totally transformative both personally and in the way we lead in teams. Well worth the investment of time for those who are seeking to grow and be changed.”
Last year, full-time workers said employers were happy to give them an extended lunch break as they were learning about team and leadership, but the workplace was not needing to pay for the course – try it!

Where possible, we encourage you to come ‘with a friend’ e.g. a warden and an ordained person) so you can journey with others near to you.
